Thompson Michael 2016. Március 15.The food was excellent but that was because we ordered the 2 person Steak tasting. We misunderstood the order and this is the first issue on the night. We misunderstood this order, on the menu there is a selection of 4 different steaks, however, you only get your choice of two steaks and two sides. The waiter never informed us of this on that we can choose two sides and never clarified this issue. We were expecting to be getting a selection of four different steaks but only got two and they were the cheapest of the two which they just chose for us. They would have to be told two or three times what we wanted as they messed up our drink order although they acted as if they completely understood what we were saying.
This is the running theme for the night. We were trying to go to another place that was supposedly at that address and it was raining so we weren't dressed as nicely as we would normally for such a place but felt it would be nice place to eat. But because we weren't dressed nicely my girlfriend was feeling very uncomfortable as the hostess was judging her and we were clearly being made fun of by the staff as we spoke only english but we understand most Hungarian, even without our understanding it was clear from the way they were acting and looking.
When it came time to pay the manager/owner was looking at me and shaking his head as if he thought I wasn't able to pay. I own two businesses and am ex military I work very hard for all that I have and I do not go to a restaurant to be judged and be made to feel lesser. After we paid we didn't see him again as I am sure he was embarrassed as he was certain we weren't able to pay. If I go to a place and pay 300 dollars for a meal I don't do it so I can not feel comfortable and judged by the staff that is supposed to be serving me. The food like I said was good but the staff incredibly rude. Not a comfortable atmosphere unless you dress the way the staff and owner/manager expect you to.
